Glenn Agor’s 1971 CJ6 Halfcab

Another reader submission - here is Glenn Agor’s sweet looking 1971 CJ6 halfcab with Buick Dauntless V6.  Glenn mentions that he’s been working on it for 4 years and is finally able to see progress, and boy do I know how that feels..

Fire Extinguisher Mounts

I wanted something a little cleaner for fire extinguisher mounts than the zip-tie/hose-clamp/bungee cord approach I’ve used in the past.  These are just a metal fire extinguisher mount welded to 2” exhaust clamps.  One will mount horizontally and one vertically - on the vertical mount I added a piece of strap steel with a right angle at the bottom to give the fire extinguisher a foot to rest on. Cost was $10/each.  Just need to sandblast, paint and install.

1974 CJ6 Owned by Scott Conrad

If you’re looking for a nice build thread to read on a holiday, head over to the Florida Jeepers Forum and catch up on Scott Conrad’s ‘74 CJ6 Build.  It’s full of frame-off, new body tub, rebuilt motor, new rollcage type goodness that makes me wonder if I should have done the same with SSDutch.

1962 CJ6 Wrecker

Thanks to David Lindsay for giving me the heads up on this one - a 1962 CJ6 currently on eBay and outfitted as a service vehicle with wrecker boom, front/rear winches, and an air compressor all driven off the Jeep’s engine through a PTO unit.  Other highlights are T98 4-speed transmission with an overdrive, vented/flip-out windshield, and rear Dana 70 axle with dual rear wheels.  More pics after the jump.
