Advantage - CJ6. When we did this 2 years ago in the CJ5, we had to drag a trailer along just to hold the apples, and this time we also had a dog. That’s ~130 lbs of apples behind the seat!
Another pretty fall day in MI. A bit of a cool breeze with temps right around 60 degrees. We headed south of Holland to the Fennville area to pick some apples.
We headed to the back of the farmer’s field for some solo picking:
SSDutch through the apple trees.
The family and dog play in the field next to the orchard:
There are so many apples on the ground rotting that the air smells like apple vinegar. It makes you wonder how the farmers make a profit.
Lots of color right now:

So the crop this year was so small it’d fit in the Jeep and two years ago it was so big you needed the trailer?
Color me green with envy. My CJ is still down for the count and it’s been 80* here with the beginnings of fall color and all the fall festivals going on in the local towns around here.

IIRC we actually picked ~20lbs less when we used the trailer, yet if I count the bags in the pic from that year it’s about the same. Had to pick a bit extra this year ‘cause Billy wanted some...
Hope you get to enjoy the Jeep top-down style a bit yet this year…
