My ‘66 CJ5 had the Buick “Dauntless V6”.  The sound of the odd-fire Dauntless V6 is very distinctive.  To capture it I clipped a mic onto my hitch, put the laptop in the backseat, hit record and took a short drive.

Note - this is with stock manifolds, small turbo mufflers, and rear-exit exhaust.
