Another reader submission today, this one from Germany. Owner Bastian Ebener write
The CJ6 (year of produce 75) was bought in 2001 and the frame up restauration began in 2002. The body was completely new welded because the original was ruined. The colour should be velvet green, by Rollce Royce! The frame components were sand-blasted and varnished with a resistent paint. The engine (232cui in line 6) was opened to rebuild and it was tuned with a DINOMAX header. The original 1 barrel carburator was kept. All parts of the drivetrain like bearings, rings,... were rebuilt. The front brake was modified from drum to disk-brake. A special of the car is the 90liters LPG (the prices for petrol you cant pay here in Europe (1,6$/liters here in Germany)). The wheels are 235/85 R16 on 7” Chrome rims. The restauration ended in january 2005.
!!! I wanted to restore the car originaly because its very rare in Europe !!!
