1964 CJ6 in Italy

From a recent post at the EarlyCJ5.com site...a neat example of an export CJ6 hardtop with longitudanal rear seats and ambulance doors on a hardtop.

The new owners write:

Meanwhile our holidays we found an old willy´s jeep and we were offered to buy it. After returning to Germany we tried via internet to find some information about the car, but this was nearly impossible.

The jeep was made by Kaiser Jeep Corporation in Toledo, Ohio U.S.A. and was imported by Willys Mediterrenea s.p.a. in Palermo, Italy. We found a serial number: 8405 25842. At the box we found, the following text: König Iron Works Incorp. , P.O. Box 7726, Houston 7, Texas, Model No. 650. The only information we got about the jeep that is was used by the italian police for transporting prisoners. It seems that the original color of the car was red! The jeep is working with gasoline.

That is a sweet 6!  It is just about my ideal rig.  Lots of seating, space and I love the doors in the back.
