Judging by the serial number, this CJ6 currently being offered on eBay is the 15th Tuxedo Park edition made. This is also evidenced by the column shift, front bench seat, and rear license plate holder. It’s rough, but here’s your chance to own one of the earliest of the one of the rarest Jeep models out there - the CJ6 Tuxedo Park.

I contacted the owner of this Jeep and I have purchased it, luckily the frame is in good condition and the hardtop is fixable, unfortunately the body is beyond repair and will be replaced with a correct replacement, I am proud to own this CJ6A as it is very rare indeed and it will go through a thorough frame off restoration as soon as I finish restoration on my 46’ CJ2A. If you would like more pictures or information on this Jeep feel free to contact me. Thanks, Mike

Mike: I just purchased a 67 CJ6----she is in very good condition considering the age. Any directions you can point me in reference to hard tops, tailgates, etc.
Thanx for your assistance.

Hey Dennis -
EarlyCJ5.com, the CJ3B site and WillysTech are the main sources of parts and info.

Hello
I have a 1975 Jeep CJ6 and I was approached by a guy who says he has a CJ6 hard top for sale. He says it is rough and I have no idea where one would find parts such as windows, door hardware etc. Wondering if it would be a mistake to buy this thing if it is very hard or impossible to buy parts for it.
Any info you can give me would be much appreciated and I would really like to see other people’s pics of their projects.
Jon Stewart (Grass Valley CA area)
Thanks, Jon S.

Hi Jon - windows are flat glass and could be cut to fit, I would think. Door hardware might be replaceable by using RV stuff. All in all though I’d hold out for a nice top - IMHO the demand for them isn’t that great.
For pics of projects go to http://www.earlycj5.com - there are at least 3-4 CJ6’s being actively built with lots of pics - mine included.

I have a 64 cj6 with the same front seat set up. I am missing the passenger seat though. Is the passenger seat a standard cj5?

As far as I know, yes.
