1960 B.C. CJ6

Another CJ6 owner has joined the EarlyCJ5.com board - Jim from Salmon Arm,B.C writes about his Jeep:

Well the jeep bug has resurfaced in my blood stream after my two kids said dad lets wash the old jeep that you never drive anymore.

Its a 1960 CJ-6 with a Ford 302, Ford t-18 trans, Spicer 18 TC, 5.38 gears in the diffs,a ‘73 windshield frame,(being 6ft5 I needed the extra view) a 73 front grill, a 76 dash, seats from my brothers dodge van, rear seat from a CJ-7, and the list goes on.

Oh I forgot, double heaters for the winters up in the great white north. For all you purists don’t fret about modifying a older jeep. This one was in sad shape. The firewall was cut up for a Chevy 250, the grill was sliced and diced to fit the rad (one bolt held it all) T-90 tranny full of water, dash cut up for a stereo.
