Here’s an interesting doo-dad.  Rollyo lets you specify up to 25 different websites and then perform searches against just those sites.

To be handy, you (obviously) have to be knowledgeable about the area that you’re searching against, so it won’t be useful all the time.

For me, I specifed all the best Jeep-related websites and experimented with searches, and found it to be a nice tool to use while giving out pointers over at EarlyCJ5.com.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of a searchroll-specific home page.  In other words, I want to go create a searchroll, then have a URL to that searchroll to be able to hand out.  Currently I have to tell someone to first search for the searchroll, then search against the searchroll.  That’ll too much for a non-techhie to grasp, I think.
