Interesting Search Tool > Snap.com

Snap.com has launched a search tool with some interesting features, especially for online marketers.

Along the lines of Google’s Suggest, Snap.com provides you with related search terms, and a count of the matches for that particular term.

Where it goes past Google is telling you, in many cases, how many people clicked on a particular result, and how many page views were generated.  If you happen to be a Snap.com advertiser, it also lists a “Cost to Advertiser”, although after a 10-minute look-see I’m not completely sure that that “% per sale” really means.

There are some other interface gee-gaws as well, but most of them are delivered via an annoying frameset that Snap.com places over the target site (think About.com).  They do, thankfully, allow you to choose to “Never show frame again”.

Just be forewarned - since Snap.com is new, the dataset is small compared to what a longer-term player like Google would have to work with.

Still, if you’re doing search engine optimization or buying Adwords, this is another tool to test your targeted words with, that will grow in accuracy over time.
