So the answer to your first question is - yes, the Ludema and Boyink Sod Farm is owned by a relative.  With a last name like Boyink, you knew it had to the the case.

When my Uncle and cousins at the Ludema and Boyink Sod Farm decided they needed a website, they hit me up at a family get-together and the project soon started.  We determined that their needs were really basic - so I put together a small hand-coded site. After a year with the static site, the farm staff wanted to do enough changes that re-powering the site with ExpressionEngine for content management made sense.

And of course, there is no way to do a website for a sod farm without using grass as the page background.  Go ahead - I dare you to try!
