ESPEC

Overview:

Some projects come to a head after a slow boil, and this is one of those.  ESPEC is a local manufacturer of environmental testing chambers, but I first “met” ESPEC’s marketing manager Dave Jung online a couple of years ago by way of blogs that we both were visiting and commenting on.  We met for lunch, kept in touch, and at one point we even were in the local newspaper together in a feature about business blogging.

When it finally came time to revise the ESPEC site, Dave enlisted the help of Boyink Interactive.  We worked together to clarify and streamline the information architecture for the content-heavy site, while putting a fresher-feeling design over it.  Once the structure and design were worked out, the site was implemented using ExpressionEngine for content management by ESPEC.

The result?  A site that, one month post-launch, has held steady in Google rankings, and has a lower bounce rate with longer visits and more page views.  Most importantly - it’s also generating more sales leads (which is entirely the point, no?).

Client Comments:

"Updating a website and doing it right is worth all the effort. Thanks to Mike Boyink for all he did - I certainly recommend working with him if you need a site of a similar scope."

The call to action for the site is the request a quote form -- which is being used with much greater frequency than on the old site.
